Extreme Australian Surfer, Mark Visser, Rides Maui Big Waves at Night *VIDEO*

Mark Visser has taken surfing to the next level... surfing in the dark of night. He has conquered the Maui 30 foot waves "known as Jaws because of the size of the swells it produces" lighting up the waters as he passes by!

Thursday in the wee hours of the morning Visser, age 28, was towed out to the surf site via jet ski. Visser had a light on his back and on the bottom of his board but couldn't see in the pitch blackness.

Visser said "It was the scariest, but most exciting thing I have ever done. It wasn’t until I saw the pictures I realised how big it was. Riding in complete darkness meant I had to go off feeling. I had to zone out from how you normally ride and just be part of the wave. I am so pumped to achieve something that no one thought possible and that I was told couldn’t be done."

I wonder what those surfer dudes will think of to top this!
