Nicki Minaj hires P. Diddy as her new manager
So it appears that Sean Combs aka Puff Daddy aka P. Diddy aka whatever he’s calling himself these days is in motion to take over managing duties for Nicki Minaj. Minaj recently fired her manager, Debra Antney. Who also manages the career of her son Wacka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane.
Where might this recent career idea come from? Could it be the fact that P. Diddy and Minaj may have bonded at son Justin’s recent Sweet 16 bash?
Does Ms. Harajuku Barbie not know the rep of the self proclaimed “King of New York!” Yes he makes stars and hits, think Notorious BIG and 112, but as of recent years he’s been known as the assassinator of careers. Nicki Minaj who hasn’t yet released an official first cd on her label Young Money is still a very well known artist. Artists/talents as Carl Thomas, Faith Evans, Total, Black Rob and other s who I can’t remember have all been managed by Mr. Combs and have eventually disappeared almost never to be heard again. You have to wonder is it the artists or is it P. Diddy himself. Artist such as Cassie and Cheri Denis have basically been shelved. Cassie is more so a show piece for Diddy these days.
Whether or not this deal is valid or not we can only hope that both teams weigh their options heavily. This could be a great career move for Nicki Minaj or an epic fail.
