You can’t love when you’re selfish.

The pure definition of love is selflessness. To love you have to be able to put someone else’s needs before your own. Like a mother for her child, or sacrificing your life so that someone can live- Like Jesus for mankind.

Love is pain - If you haven’t suffered, you haven’t love.

Your suffering should not be gauged on account of I. but on account of we.It is stepping in to carry a load that your loved one cannot handle and to do so without looking for any credit.

Love is not blind - It sees.

Those who are blinded are only blinded by love of themselves. They love only so that they can be loved and miss the whole point.

If you love someone because of the way they make you feel, rather than just loving them for who they are. You do not love them, you love yourself. This is an important distinction

True love is outside of you, It seeks not recognition or redemption - It just, is.

Love is hard work

It isn’t always what you expect it to be but you have to put in those finishing touches and roll with the punches. When you’re in love, you need to continuously be punching in even when it hurts.

If you truly love, you’ll see the bruises along as exercise. Just how you have to tear muscle to build muscle, you have to break down sometimes to be strong.

Love never gives up and is forgiving. A mother will forgive their young for a whole lifetime and vice versa.

We are all imperfect and sometimes we fall short of expectations. If a partner does something that you can’t quite forgive, you’re not quite in love.

You’re blinded more by the pain they inflicted on you than by the one they inflicted on themselves by hurting you. When someone who loves you hurts you, keep in mind, they hurt themselves even more.

Love is contradiction

Its patient but likes a rush. Quiet, but overbearing. Jealous but understanding. Love endures all and love has no regrets.

You shouldn’t aim to be in love. You should aim to drown in it.

It scary and unreliable but it is the only way to live.
