Need an STD Test? Theres An App For That!

Good news for promiscuous workaholics: pretty soon you won’t have to clear your whole schedule every time you think you might have the clap.
Researchers in the UK are working hard to develop disease-testing apps for smartphones and computers. They’ll work like high-tech versions of pregnancy tests. You’ll buy the kit, download a free app, pee on a little microchip the size of USB stick, then plug the chip into the electronic gadget of your choosing. Then said gadget will give you a thumbs up or a thumbs down, and you’ll know whether or not you can get busy.
So far, seven different sources have pumped $6.5 million into research for these high-tech STI testing kits. The hope is that they can be sold in vending machines at nightclubs, pharmacies, and supermarkets (just like condoms) for about a buck a piece.
The goal of this technology, obviously, is to reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections by giving people a less embarrassing way to figure out why it burns every time they take a leak.
Sounds like a great idea to me.
