Girl Throws Puppies in River (Graphic Video): UPDATE: Girl Found By Bosnian Police
Earlier this week, a video was posted online showing a young girl picking up puppies from a bucket and hurling them into a cold river one by one to their death.
The video went viral and causing outrage on the internet and among animal lovers and activists.
It is believed that the video was filmed in either Croatia or Bosnia, however no one knows for sure. The video shows the girl in a red hooded sweatshirt lifting up the crying puppies and recklessly tossing them. The identity of the girl remained a mystery and she could be possibly in her late teens or early twenties.
A Facebook group called “Find the Girl Who Threw Puppies in River” was created and has reached a total of 56,399 followers.
At first, some reports speculated that the video may be a hoax and that the makers of such video may be intending to capture some viral notoriety as Mary Bale, a 45 year old British woman who began receiving death threats after CCTV aired a footage of her throwing a neighborhood cat into a trash can last week.
UPDATE Earlier today, Bosnian Police say they believe they located a young woman who matches the appearance of the one in the video throwing puppies. The girl is a juvenile and was found from leads given by animal protection groups in the country. The girl’s parent’s will be questioned.
Under recently adopted animal protection law the people can be fined up to $6,400 for cruel treatment to animals.
