Miami Resident Sets Girlfriend on Fire In Front of Her Mom
Juan Alvarez, 41 is currently on Florida’s most wanted. The Miami-Dade Police are on the hunt for Juan who set his girlfriend on fire after a fight in the couples' home.
According to authorities the reason behind the argument which soon led to violence is still yet unknown.
The unnamed women is in critical condition at the Jackson Memorial Hospital. Juan managed to escape the scene before the authorities showed up. Miami-Dade Detective Roy Rutland said in a statement to NBC Miami,
"He then went inside the trailer, dragged her out by her hair, and began to douse her with fuel -- we believe it's gasoline -- right in the middle of the street, in front of her mother,"
"That is the point that he used some sort of accelerant and lit her on fire."
According to a close friend of the victim, this was not the first time Juan had been violent and that in fact the two had a very turbulent relationship. With a mug shot like that I wouldn’t trust him either!
