Google Chrome OS Table by HTC coming to Verizon in November
It had been rumored for a while now that Google is working on an iPad competitor, but no proof was formally shown so it was early brushed off. Now Lee Mathews from the Download Squad got the exclusive and is letting us in on the info.
Many people are not surprised that Google was going to release an iPad competitor for the holidays. What catch a lot of people attention is that this table will not be running the Android technology but instead it will be using Google Chrome OS which is a technology made primarily for the web.
This new development leads people to think, ohk, if the iPad is a big iPhone why is Google not using a technology to compete with the phone – Android. Instead this is showing that maybe Google saw the potential to make a stronger web based product in hopes of drawing more attention to them – which it is.

Mathews from Download Squad thinks that this new product will be more affordable than the iPad. It is speculated that this tablet will be offered for free with a Verizon contract – NICE!
Mathews Speaks on the specs of this Tablet:
So what will the Google tablet pack for hardware? It'll likely be based on NVidia's Tegra 2 platform and sport a 1280x720 multitouch display, 2GB of RAM, minimum 32GB SSD, WiFi/Bluetooth/3G connectivity, GPS, webcam, and possibly expandable storage via a multi-card reader. Expect it to be every bit as geek-tastic as the Nexus One -- Google won't want to disappoint its early adopters.
As good as all this may sound, and I have verizon, i would suggest that you do not count on it and if you want go get the iPad. Verizon is full of false promises, ex. no iPhone!
