iPhone Used As Hockey Puck, Still Works (Video)

The geniuses over at G-Form who designed an iPad case that enables the pricey high-tech gadget to survive a free fall from outer space have now turned their attention to the iPhone.

About time, right?

But instead of dropping an a phone from space to demonstrate the protective powers of their new G-Form RPT impact protection iPhone case, they decided to head on over to the local hockey rink and use an iPhone as a hockey puck.

Yep, after they show you that the iPhone is indeed in working order, they just toss it on the ice and have a guy knock the thing around with a hockey stick for a bit. Then the guy winds up and fires the phone into an empty net with a wicked snapshot.

The speed? Clocks in at 82 mph, which is pretty close to what the average NHL player would do.

The puck blasts into the goal, hits the net, and comes bouncing back out. And of course, after it's all done, the iPhone still works—even it's totally awesome HypeHumor app.

So if this doesn't sell you on G-Form's amazing protective cases, I don't know what will. (Though I wouldn't mind if they tried something with monster trucks.)

Here's the video so you can see for yourself:
